Monday June 29, 2020 – Where is Tim?
My first week of freedom in the Seychelles. I am loving it! I am currently still on a mooring at the Yacht Club, but hope to get a slip at Eden Marina soon.
The weather is awesome, food awesome, people awesome and beer flows constantly. What more can you ask for?
Been knocking off boat jobs daily. My engine is being serviced, I have new Trojan 103 batteries and will be replacing the rigging. Back in the USA, my son Matt has my new roller furler genoa, refrigerator, satellite phone docking station, router, multi voltage battery charger, SSB microphone, even a replacement sterio. Next to ship to me, I need to get an address.
Been thinking about skipping Tanzania. My ultimate goal is Richards Bay South Africa by November. It is 1000 miles west to Tanzania, then in early November I either bash south along the East Africa coast, or sail SE towards Mayotte or Madagascar. OR, I sail about 700 miles SW from the Seychelles to Mayotte or Madagascar. Kinda a no brainer.
Still looking for crew.
Don’t forget to write this Intrepid sailor. My land e mail is still firstname.lastname@example.org.
